The South Central Children’s Mental Health Initiative (SCCMHI) was developed in 2007 to improve the children’s mental health system in South Central Minnesota. The initiative brings together the Minnesota Department of Human Services and county mental health authorities from the member counties to redesign and implement new community-based mental health services for children. The participating counties include Blue Earth, Brown, Faribault, Freeborn, Le Sueur, Martin, Nicollet, Rice, Sibley, Waseca, and Watonwan.
